Adoption is nothing new to the Smith family. Right now we have five children, four of whom are adopted. People think that we already have a large family, but God has blessed us with room in our hearts and home to again become someone&'s "forever family." After much prayer one of our caseworkers asked if we would consider hosting a young boy from Eastern Europe over the summer of 2013. Within days of this boy entering our home, he also entered our hearts and we quickly knew that he was the one that the Lord had placed in our family. By the end of the summer we were "Mommy" and Daddy" to him. He even took a "selfie" in front of the family portrait which hangs in our hallway. We hosted him over Christmas and again this past summer. We can&'t wait for the day that we can bring him home for good. We talk to "D" often and he frequently asks when we are coming to bring him home. We now have approval of our dossier but still need most of our funding. So far we have sold candy, held yard sales and set up shop at flea markets. We&'ve invested as much of our own money as we could, and we are ready to sell anything that isn&'t nailed down just to raise the money. We need your help! We are asking our family and friends to help us make his dreams and ours come true by supporting us with your prayers and financial donations. Psalms 68:6 says that "God places the solitary in families and gives the desolate a home in which to dwell" (Amplified), but He uses people to make it happen. Please consider helping us and share in the blessing of bringing our son home! Blessings, Jim and Carol Smith
