ONE DOLLAR DONATION #BringHomeBug

Donate $1 (or more) and then Share!

In the past two years of our adoption journey, our family has experienced two lost pregnancies and as of a few weeks ago we had our become failed adoption. We trust that the Lord has brought us to this point and that he will see us through it, but it’s been a long road to say the least. We know his plans must be great and we cannot wait to see them unfold!

the agency we previously matched with us located in the St. Petersburg, Florida area and while they won’t refund anything they will roll over a portion of lost funds from our failed placement. So ultimately whenever we are rematched it will be in Florida so we will still be traveling quite a ways. This fund is for the cost of travel as well as now to aid us in the lost funds of our failed adoption. Thank you all for your unending support, it means more than you know.

Our Story
Taylor was adopted along with several family members on both sides, and it was on our first date that we sat and talked for hours about how one day we both hoped to bring home children through adoption.
August 2016 we started this journey, blissfully unaware of all the life challenges that would be thrown our way. It’s been a long road full of loss, full of heartbreak and also full of love. Our family and marriage has been strengthened ten fold through all of our ups and downs and we can see how God has used this little girl, her amazing momma and all of our pain to transform our entire world.

Turning Away Pride
The truth of adoption is that it’s not “cheap”. Adoption is REDEMPTION , when God set out to redeem us all it cost him his life. When we came across this momma our hearts were stirred, and we knew this little girl needed our “Yes”, however this was a situation that we knew was going to push financial boundaries. None the less we heard God so clearly tell us to push through, so we trusted him. When they say it takes a Village, they so deeply mean that. Most adoptions range from $20,000-$40,000 and working in the field of adoption myself (Taylor) we are very picky about who we work with and their ethical responsibilities with funds. Our agency is wonderful, every penny is used, every dollar is justified and we are hoping to raise enough to assist our family in these funds alongside the travel funds we will accrue in October. We will be flying our family of four last minute when momma goes into labor, we will be required to stay in the state this baby girl is born in for 2 weeks meaning hotels/food/car and other means and then we will travel home last minute again once we get clearance to leave. Because we don’t feel justified creating a fundraising goal, nor asking for people to invest heavily in our adoption we decided to run a “Dollar Donation” asking that you donate $1 (more only if you feel called) and then to share our fundraiser in hopes that even one of your friends would donate $1. This way we feel that those who wish to help are not burdened with costly T-shirt’s or other means of fundraising.

Thank YOU
To our village, thank you won’t ever be enough. The way in which you have held us through this process is humbling to our family. We couldn’t have ever done this without your support of a lifelong dream God planted in our crazy hearts long long ago. Thank you for reading, thank you for supporting and we cannot wait to tell our baby girl how many people fight for her, and her life, because she matters. Let’s #BringHomeBug
