We have some BIG news!
WE ARE ADOPTING A BABY!!!!!
5 years ago, my husband and I sat hand in hand in a small white office as our doctor told us we would never have biological children of our own. It was one of the hardest days of our lives. We had always dreamed of having a big crazy family and in that moment, it felt like those dreams would never come to pass. The next few years were filled with doctor’s visits, lab draws, medications, surgeries, and negative pregnancy tests. But God has a funny way of working things out. At our first date my husband told me his mom was adopted and we both agreed, then and there, that we would grow our family through adoption one day. God had placed adoption on our hearts long before we knew the path that would lead us there, and we now know, this was always God’s plan for our family. So, several years, a lot of patience, and a WHOL** E LOT of paper work later, we are thrilled to announce that we are ready to bring home Baby S! As we have begun to share our story, we have been so deeply moved by the support and love from our friends and family. We could not have gotten this far without each one of you.**
But guys, adoption is HARD! For every moment that it feels our hearts could explode with excitement and joy, there are just as many moments that have been filled with sadness and worry. Our hearts break for the birth mamas struggling with their decisions, sometimes the waiting to be chosen feels like it will never end, and we have mourned the loss of a failed adoption and the baby that was *almost* ours.
But again, God stepped in, in a BIG way and we are so excited to announce that we have matched again! BABY GIRL S. DUE FEBRUARY 2020!!!!!
Through sharing the up’s and downs of this process, many have been shocked to hear that our adoption will cost over $40,000! We are truly humbled by the amount of people who have wanted to help ease that financial burden for us. They say it takes a village and we think ours is one of the best ones out there! After much consideration, we started a crowdfunding campaign to make donating to our adoption easier and more convenient for those who would like to support us in this way ( ITS TAX DEDUCTIBLE TOO! ). Our hope is that your support, whether it be emotionally, physically, financially, or a simple prayer sent our way, that you will see yourself as a part of our family and an integral part of bringing our baby girl home. We may not know who's nose she will have or or where her laugh comes from… but we do know Baby S is already loved by so many people. We can’t wait for you to meet our little miracle!
