Hi everyone! We are Dan, Mimi, Annelise (4), and Katelynn (2.5). We are really excited to begin this journey to adopt a boy from Korea. Our family story begins with two incredibly difficult pregnancies for Mimi and only by God&'s grace was He able to pull us through some very dark times for our family. Mimi battled a rare, debilitating pregnancy disorder called Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) for both pregnancies. Mimi had to endure months of extreme nausea, excessive vomiting, weight loss (approx. 15-20 lbs), dehydration, fatigue, malnutrition and a general inability to function. Mimi needed to undergo home IV infusion and a PICC line to keep her from being dehydrated. Here is a link to her blog which describes her HG story while pregnant with Annelise and Katelynn. https://prisonerinmyownbody.wordpress.com/ Mimi and I have always desired to enlarge our family, but we debated about getting pregnant again because of Mimi&'s predisposition to HG. The chances of recurrence of HG for subsequent pregnancies is 60% - 80%. Many hours of discussion led us to the ultimate decision that adoption would be the best choice for our family. Not only would we be able to grow our family, we have an amazing potential to make a huge impact on a child who has nowhere to go. As a part of the adoption, Danny has decided to run 1 mile for every $300 raised on this site. That means a potential total of running 50 miles. **ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE** FUNDRAISING DEADLINE: 9/30/2015
