Separately, the Lord convicted us both for adoption. When we shared together, we were overwhelmed with how divine the plan was and how all the confusing puzzle pieces fell perfectly together with the plan. Our heart immediately went towards adopting a little girl from South Korea since that was where my father was adopted from. Another burden was Haiti as Justin had just returned from a mission trip from there. However, as we began to look more into the process, we quickly realized that those two countries were the least likely. South Korea is the only country that doesn't allow gender specification and Haiti is a closed program due to the annual quota already hit. From there, we prayed for the Lord's direction. And He graciously answered that He's had a daughter for us since the beginning of time…..but to just simply leave the doors open for Him to show us where she is. So we decided to pursue a girl through Dillon's Open Option program. We keep hearing the Lord say, "Watch what I can do." While we know He is completely capable of making South Korea or even Haiti happen, we simply desire His will and to find the daughter we know we have….no matter where she is. It's already been amazing to see how He's strategically orchestrating everything! Thank you for joining us as we watch our Lord work through this journey of finding our daughter! -Update- We were officially matched with our daughter in January 2016 who will be named Amelia Jo Linington! We are still awaiting our final home study approval to get "official" assignment to her country. We cannot wait to bring her home!
