I have some pretty amazing news my friends- I am adopting a child from India! My furkids and I are beyond excited to add to our little family.

I have been researching this process for a long time, and do not take this new opportunity lightly. I am doing everything I can to prepare my home for a new family member. As part of my adoption process, I have started a crowdfunding campaign. Adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 (or more!). This is why I’ve set a goal of $10,000.00 to help ease the financial burden that comes with an international adoption. Any monies raised here will be directly used for adoption fees, or for travel to India to pick up my child.

International adoption from India can take 2 years or more, and after talking to several families that have completed this process, I’ve decided that my best course of action is to not entirely drain my savings to fund this adoption. I would like to make sure that I have money left in savings to cover time away from work, and the medical expenses that come along with international adoptions. There are grants available, as well as loans that I will be pursuing as well.

I hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the village it will take to raise my child. Even if you can’t donate, I would appreciate your prayers and positive intentions on this incredible journey. <3
