We have some BIG news around here– we are growing our family through adoption!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home as soon as possible. This is a scary time in the world but announcing this right after our Angel Beau's due date shows that we will get through this and it's all in God's timing. You wouldn't believe it but the minute Beau went to heaven, he put in our minds adoption and really hasn't let us stop until everything was completed. Now that we have every paper part completed, it's time for the next big part. We have started a crowdfunding campaign to help in this area. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to well over $55,000. It blew us away when we learned this.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. This is going to take a village but the adoption agency we chose has a much faster "match" time so that is why we started this as soon as our paperwork was in. Believe it or not, we've already been getting information about birth moms sharing their story in hopes that we match with them. Even with the coronavirus, babies are still being born and families are traveling to hospitals across the United States. We've dreamed of a big family since our college days at JMU and since pregnancy is too dangerous now, we now know our newest plan. Our Angel Beau has more plans for us up there than we even know yet :)
