We found our son!!! Read about the story at www.martyandkatie.wix.com/adoption :) In the Spring of 2014 we began to sense God telling us that he had a dream for us that was better than the one we had for ourselves. It was not until the fall before we felt we were ready to begin the process. We are eager to meet the child that the Lord has for us in His perfect timing! We completed our home study for domestic adoption in April 2015. Not long afterwards we hit a bump in the road and that caused us to reassess our direction. We began to feel that the Lord was using the interruption to redirect our course to international adoption. In the summer of 2015 we began to believe that our child is in China. Ultimately we are trusting that everything that has happened was a part of God&'s plan all along, and all about Him guiding us to the specific child that will be part of our family. And what a joy it has all been so far. Difficult, of course, and painful at times, but pure joy to experience God&'s heart for orphans begin to grow in our own hearts. We are working with Lifeline Children&'s Services to finalize the adoption of our first child, Silas! We expect to travel in the spring! Thank you so much for supporting our journey to baby Calvert!
