While on a mission trip to a Peruvian orphanage in 2009, two marbles were placed into my pocket by a young child. After we got home, Shane and I could not stop thinking of those sweet children. We began thinking of growing our family thru adoption but were not ready for such a huge commitment. After a return visit in 2010, and a lot of prayer and encouragement from our church and family, we decided to go for it. Two and a half years later, we are finally ready to tell the world! We have waited 15 years for a child, and never thought this would be our path. Kelby,19, has "flown the coop," and we&'re enjoying our last few months as "empty-nesters" before starting over with a little one. Some people think we&'re crazy, but we are so excited to be on this journey. Our little girl is waiting in China, and while we don&'t yet know who she is, we pray that the Lord will protect both our son and daughter every day, and watch over them wherever they are! The cost of adoption ($30,000) is astronomical but we&'re halfway there! We are truly blessed and pray that you and your family will be blessed too! Matthew 18:5
