We are adopting a child!
We are excited to share our adoption journey with you! After much prayer, in early 2016, we decided to begin the process of domestic adoption. We believe that we have all been adopted as God's children and want to share this same grace and love to all of our children (biological or adopted).
We decided to partner with Lifeline Children's Services to guide us through this process. We have been working with a social worker to prepare us for bringing another child into our home. We have completed the home study and later this year, our adoption profile will be active. Once active, at any point we must be ready to bring our son or daughter home!
There are a few ways you can help us in this process. First and most importantly, please be praying for our family, our new son or daughter, and the birth mother who has bravely chosen to make an adoption plan for her child.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $10,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
