We are the Carman's, Josh, Brooke, Kylee & Kennedy, and we are ready to grow our family from 4 to 5! We started the process to adopt back in the Fall of 2016, and our plan was to pursue adopting from Nicaragua. We had signed on with our agency, started the paperwork process and were waiting for Nicaragua to reopen their program. However, in March of 2017, God showed us he had a different plan for our family when he introduced us to OUR SON , the most precious 3 year old little boy in China!
Dear friends of ours, Josh & Laura Kelley, had been walking through the adoption process along side of us. They were in China bringing home their son when they met our little guy. He happened to be their son's BEST FRIEND! The two boys have grown up together in the same home and share another very special bond, both are heart warriors with very special and complicated little hearts. The Kelley's immediately also felt a connection to our little guy, and then God put our family on their hearts. So only a few days after they had been home with their son, Laura texted asking how things were going with our adoption process and casually mentioning this little guy they had met. One thing led to another, and 6 days later we had tracked down his file. The most amazing part… he was already on file with OUR AGENCY!!! We knew only God could show up in such intricate and awesome ways, and this was definitely His plan from the beginning. We immediately sent our paperwork to China. And just 4 days later we got our pre-approval, which meant, "He is yours! Complete your paperwork and come get your SON!!"
We are SO in love with this little guy and are working fast and furious to get him home! And we CANNOT WAIT to reunite him with his very best friend too! He does have a complex heart defect, and we would covet your prayers for his continued health, his precious heart, and quick processing of our paperwork. We are hoping to get him home as soon as possible so we can have him evaluated and develop a plan for his continued treatment. Fortunately we have already paid for a portion of our adoption expenses, and now we are working to raise the funds to finish out the process. We are so very grateful for all of the love and support we have received! We can't wait to see what God has in store for our son!
