God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. (Ephesians 1:4-5) We are so excited to announce our adoption journey! 2 years ago Emily felt a strong call to care for the orphans in a very literal way. For Josh, it&'s been an ongoing sojourn as he sought God&'s desire for our family. The way that God worked in us both (& in/through our kids), is nothing short of life-changing. Having 3 biological children is an amazing blessing; our family is strong, healthy and many might say "complete". For us, this is not about "finding the missing piece" to our family; we are simply following God&'s calling on our lives. Someone said, "Adoption is not the call to have the perfect family. It&'s the call to give love, mercy and patience." That is our desire - to show the love of Christ to a mother in distress, and to love her child as our own. We are all called to care for the orphans; however, not everyone is in a place to bring a child into their home. We are excited yet overwhelmed, knowing we cannot do this alone. Beyond your love & prayers, we need financial assistance; adoption is staggeringly expensive! With a base fee of $22,500 and many extra expenses along the way, we are looking at a minimum of $26,000 to bring our child home! This amount is overwhelming, but we know all things are possible for Him who gives us strength. We cannot thank you enough for your support as we seek after the Lord!
