Our story begins many years ago at a Christian concert where Steven Curtis Chapman was performing. He was promoting the adoption of orphans by what is now called Show Hope. After the presentation, my wife and I were moved, but not to action. For now this was just a seed planted. I mean that&'s a lot of pull on ones heart. What do you do with that!? We would find out. My sister and brother-in-law had adopted a boy from South Korea in 2012. We helped where we could. We loved the biblical response of them doing this, but no tugging on our hearts at this point. Then 2 years later, they were led to adopt Oliver from China, an awesome little boy with albinism. After several months went by, they received another surprise, a call to adopt a second child while in China. A little girl named Sarah. But there were problems with Sarah&'s paperwork, and it would really make Oliver have to wait much longer. After much prayer, they had to move forward, and God showed them Kalli, and they were in love again. They desired to advocate and find a family for Sarah. This is when things changed. Kennah saw the blog post and knew! She sent it to me with only the words "Take a look at this", then I knew! We didn&'t even have to talk about it, it was God saying GO, NOW, to each of us. She is deaf and has low vision, but special needs didn&'t matter. When God starts something like this, He finishes it. We were nervous, but only because like many people, we like to have some control. On this, we didn&'t. We just went and are relying on Him to teach and connect us with all the resources to grow with her. And so it began…..
