We are excited to announce that Robert and I are in the process of adoption. We are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. We started the process 3 years ago, shortly after our 6 failed IVF cycles.
In January of 2021, we adopted a child and he was ours for 7 days. Unfortunately birth mom wanted him back and we came home empty handed. A failed adoption HURTS and it hits you hard financially too. It put a huge dent on our adoption budget. And as part of our adoption process, we have now started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $50,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of 25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
