Dearest Family and Friends, we hope this finds you well and filled with peace and joy this year. Thank you for taking a few moments to read about our journey to adopt and become parents!:) After many years of trying to start a family with no success, we found out through some medical tests we would not be able to have children naturally. That was some of the hardest news we had ever received. The Lord is always leading us, and had placed adoption on our hearts even before we were married, we just did not know when, and thought we’d have a few children of our own first. A few months after we found out, and through lots of praying, we decided to look more intently at the adoption process. December 2015, we attended an information class at Christian Family Adoptions here in Portland, OR. We had such peace and knew immediately that adoption was the right choice for us to start growing our family. We have chosen to be on the Local Infant Adoption Program through CFA, and we have completed the paperwork and home study process. We are currently on the waiting to be matched list. It can take 18 months/ 2 years to be matched, or as short as 24hrs. Adoption is also very expensive, and as much as we would like to afford having children on our own, we know that isn’t very realistic, as Infant Adoption can cost anywhere from $27,000-$60,000 depending on agencies and state location. It takes a strong community of loved ones to raise and grow a family, and so we ask that if you feel lead to give financially please know we are forever grateful, and honored by your generosity.
