is adopting a child from United States of America

"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. And over all these virtues, put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful." Colossians 3: 12, 14-15

Sometimes God calls us to do something that doesn't make sense. We can't figure out why He would ask us to do what He is asking us to do. It seems crazy not only to us, but also to our family, friends, and the world. Yet, He invites us and the Holy Spirit continues to nudge us into a specific direction. We know His plans are greater than anything we could imagine, and even when we know we don't have the whole story, we know we want to be obedient to God. All we can do in that situation is say yes.

That's where we find ourselves at the beginning of the adoption process. We have been called by God and it doesn't make sense! We are so excited and can't wait for His plans to be revealed. We are ready to open our hearts, lives, family, and home to a child whom we don't yet know. There are so many unknowns, but we have the peace of God because He knows. What is it that we do know? God is good, all the time.

The Bible verse at the top of the page is what we will use as the focus of our prayers throughout this process. We feel it speaks to the heart of what we hope for our child, his or her birth mom, and our family. We want this child and the birth mom to know that they are CHOSEN and DEARLY LOVED by God and by us. We want to be full of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, and above all, love. We pray that love is in the center of this adoption. We are praying for peace and, throughout this process, we want to always be thankful.

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $15,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.

Ultimately, we can't wait to meet the child God has chosen to be a part of our family. Thank you for your love and support during this adventure!
