WE’VE BEEN CHOSEN!

We’re excited to share that an expectant mama has chosen us to adopt her baby girl, due March 30, 2026. 

In April 2024, we became parents through adoption when our son, Bravery, was born. His story (and ours) has been written with so much love thanks to the courage of his birth mom. Adoption has changed our lives in the best way and we’re so grateful God chose us to be his mom and dad. 

Now, we’re stepping into this next chapter with hope. If all goes well, we’ll become a family of four and Bravery will be a big brother to a little sister.

Now that we’re officially matched, we have a clearer projected budget. Our estimated costs (before travel expenses and California legal steps) are $49,265. We’ve already paid $22,200 toward those expenses. Travel and legal steps will be additional and can vary depending on case details.

    Hi friends,

    We are overjoyed to share that we were chosen late on 5/5 to adopt a precious baby boy. We flew to Texas on 5/6 to meet him and are now officially a family of four!

    Meet Valor Luke 💙

    Valor was born on 5/4 and we chose his name in honor of his birth mama and the incredible courage and love that will forever be part of his story.

    Thank you for praying, giving and standing with us. Your support helped make it possible for us to say yes when the call came. We are so grateful and can’t wait to bring him home.

    What comes next (after this disruption)

    March 13, 2026

    We realize we did not clearly communicate in our last update is what the next steps look like.

    Though this situation has been incredibly painful, we are still moving forward in our adoption journey. As difficult as it is, it has not changed our hope that God will grow our family through adoption again. We are still trusting Him and believing He will lead us to the right situation in His timing.

    A Difficult Adoption Update

    March 13, 2026

    Hi friends. This is an update we deeply hoped we would not have to share.

    Late last night, we discovered information that made us believe expectant mom may have already delivered. That was confirmed this morning. There are indications she decided not to place before going to the hospital and if we are being fully honest, we are left wondering whether placement was ever truly her intention at all.

    We are hurt, angry, confused and devastated. We also feel sick knowing that many of you gave your hard-earned money to support us, only for it to seem that we were misled by someone who was not truthful.

    At the same time, we are clinging to the character of God. He is not shaken by this, nor is He absent from it. We take comfort in remembering that He too was betrayed and laid down His son’s life for us while we were still dead in our sin. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Even here, in this pain, we will praise Him, trusting that He will use even this for His goodness and His glory.

    Thank you for being our village, for carrying us and for being a comfort to us during this painful time.
