Howdy, We are Christopher and Lyra. We have been together for nine and a half years and married for five and a half years. We have tried to have a child for three years with no luck. The doctors we have gone to have not been able to give us a reason for the inability to have a biological child. Adoption is something that we have talked about doing throughout our entire relationship and we feel that this is what we are meant to do and how we are suppose to grow our family. We are so excited to be on this journey. We both work as social workers. We work with children and families everyday. We both cherish family and believe that family is one of the most important things. We want to share our love and our hearts with a child. Love, Christopher and Lyra Update! On 11/25/2015 we got a phone call that our daughter had been born. We connected with this birth mother through family and had met with her in person on 10/31/2015 in the Seattle, Washington area. We drove 17 hours straight on Thankgiving to meet and pick up Cora. Our amazing attorney met with the Birth Mother and hospital for 4 hours on Thanksgiving since we couldn't be there. We spent 10 days in Seattle before making the 4 day trek home. We are so happy to have Cora as part of our family. Thank you for your support in making this happen.
