Why Adoption?
When we were dating we talked about everything, and on one occasion Charlotte remembers Dustin jokingly saying, "I want 3.5 kids, because that's the national average". We always knew we wanted to have children, at least two - maybe more. God had placed adoption on our hearts with both of us having family members that had been adopted, but we weren't sure when we would be able to do so. Over the past two years we started talking to friends who had adopted and those who had done fertility treatments. We continued to pray about growing our family and felt peace about pursuing adoption now. This peace to adopt has brought so much joy and hope.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set up this page to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
