The Clowney household is buzzing with anticipation. We’ve just had our formal approval to adopt and could receive the call any day now that there is a baby waiting for us. We are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome this new little one into our home and have decided to reach out for a little extra support.
As you know, Clowneys love a challenge!
The adoption will probably cost about $30,000 and with generous family support and some savings we’ve been able to put aside nearly 70% of this cost.
In an effort to earn your support we (both Ben and Ari) will be testing our physical limits. Ari will be doing her first (and probably last) triathlon and Ben will be running his first marathon (of which he will inevitably run many more in order to beat his own PB).
If you feel so inclined we'd love for you to chip in financially but we'd also welcome your support in a variety of other ways, such as prayers that Ari doesn't actually fall off her bike (those road bikes have very skinny tires), and prayers that Ben finds the right combination of gummies, gels, Clif bars and gatorade to properly aid his training regime (this is a serious matter in our household!)
Ari's tri is on the 9th of September and Ben's marathon is on the 14th of October. So they're coming up - yikes!
