We have BIG news!
It is finally time to formally adopt Zoey!
After two long years plus four months of waiting, her birth mom graciously agreed with us that it is best if Zoey live with us forever. We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to make the process go smoothly. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. A quick google search will show that private adoption costs can easily average up to $28,000 or more. This is why we have set a small goal of just $7,000 to help ease the financial burden we are carrying. We have been saving for over two years, hoping to cover the costs when they hit, but we could use a little help here toward the end. We have signed papers in our hands from birth mom, and just need termination of fathers parental rights paperwork, a home study, 6 months waiting period, and to pay off the lawyers for all the fantastic paper pushing they do within the LA court system. We could not do this without their help.
