Over the last several years the Lord has been working in our lives to slowly create in us a heart for adoption. Since the first of the year His instruction became clear and we have decided to be obedient. We explored domestic and international adoption and what each would look like for our family. After thoughtful prayer, long discussions, and obedience to the Lord’s prompting we applied and were accepted the first of May to adopt a baby from China. We are adopting a sweet little one year old boy with special needs. We are excited to go and get him soon.
Galatians 4:4-5 says, “When the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” Galatians 3:13, says that our redemption, our adoption, cost God the price of his Son’s life, “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us–for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree’”
