We have BIG news!
We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $50,000 or more. This is why we have set this up to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents like us.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
Nubia and I are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support we've received since announcing our plans to adopt last week. We knew we were surrounded by a loving and giving community, but we had no idea how much ya'll truly cared for us. Thank you to everyone who has donated. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us a great deal. More importantly, thank you to everyone who has reached out to us with messages of congratulations, well wishes, love, and support. It takes a village to raise a child and your outpouring of support has shown us our child is going to be loved beyond our wildest dreams.

WE ARE ADOPTING!!
We are so excited to announce that we are in the process of adopting! We have entered the Domestic Infant Adoption program through the Gladney Center for Adoption. Gladney is a wonderful organization based in Fort Worth that we are so proud to be working with to adopt a baby.
We know this process will be a long and emotional one. It will be full of ups and downs, but we wanted to share this wonderful news with our friends and family.
This will also be an expensive process, but we know it will be worth it when we expand our loving family with a little bundle of joy. We will be organizing some fundraising events in the near future for those who are able to help us make this journey more affordable. We both greatly appreciate any support you are willing to give, even if that's just positive thoughts, prayers, and love throughout our journey.
We are so proud of the loving community of friends and family we have built together and we are so excited to bring you along on this journey!
