A Family for a Little Girl…A Little Girl for a Family
We are thrilled to finally let everyone know that we will be bringing our daughter home in a few short weeks! The final countdown is officially on! After an extremely long wait, the "Colón 5" will now and forever be the "Colón 6" that it was always meant to be! There are not enough exclamation points to share our excitement!!!
Many of you reading this know the extent of our journey. It has been the greatest, hardest, longest, most beautiful adventure of our lives to relentlessly pursue this sweet little girl in Vietnam. To now be miraculously entrusted as her family is our honor. This gift is definitely worth the wait! We can hardly believe that after all this time it is happening for real.
Currently, we believe that we will travel to Hanoi to bring her home near the end of December 2017. We will update as we know the official dates, and we hope to post a picture of her soon.
Until then, we are here working alongside Connected Hearts Ministry to try and tackle our final phase of fundraising. We have successfully covered over half of the adoption expenses from our own savings and gifts from friends, as well as grants and loans which we have applied. Including travel, the adoption will cost approximately $50,000.
We are hoping to raise the final $20,000 by mid-December.
