If you've been following along with our adoption journey already, you know that we are looking forward to welcoming a sweet little boy into our family! Derek and Ginny are working hard to prepare physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for our little guy, and Kirk talks almost daily about his baby brother. We are so ready to have him in our home and in our arms!
As part of our adoption process, we have started this crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $45,000 or more. We have set a current goal of $10,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We have been able to get this far in the process through the generosity of friends and family, a few grants and fundraisers, and quite a bit of hard work. However, we still have costs associated with the adoption, including travel expenses.
We hope that by including you in this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he grows up. We are so grateful for ALL the ways you show your support as we follow God's call and grow our family through adoption.
