is adopting a child from Latvia

Our adoption story began over a decade ago when we brought home our first child, born in Texas. Three years later, we were elated to domestically adopt another son. We thought that our family was complete… until we hosted two extraordinary Latvian orphans for the summer, through a hosting program, P143 (www.p143.org). They came to us malnourished and severely underweight. According to the orphan court, they, and their little sister, had been found living on the streets. (The boy was covered in flea bites and all three children had pneumonia.) These children were immediately part of our family and our hearts last summer. Their departure was difficult for all of us, and we started the adoption process immediately. We went to Latvia and met with the orphan court to adopt the brother and sister (10 and 12 years old), along with their 4 year old little sister. We are very excited for these children to be ours! Malnutrition has left them deficient in many areas, and we can provide opportunities for them to thrive in America. Internationally adopting three children will require around $40,000. Under the Hague guidelines, we will be traveling to Latvia 2 more times in the coming months. Although we are having multiple garage sales and fundraisers, this adoption will not be possible without financial assistance. By using this website, you are allowing your tax-deductible donation to help bring our children home! Thank you for praying with us and helping us change eternity for these beautiful children!
