We have BIG news!
We are adopting a child!
I know…we can barely believe it either…but we are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to prepare ourselves to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. Mike is feverishly looking at color swatches for what will be the nursery…and Craig is wandering through the baby aisles at Target having panic attacks about the complexity of choice when it comes to different contraptions for taking care of an infant.
Unfortunately, we're missing all the parts that are required to make a baby the old-fashioned way, so we've decided to go the adoption route…and as it turns out, adoption is expensive! And because we like to make things more difficult than they need to be, we decided to complicate the process even further by moving overseas, so we have to fly a US social worker into Sydney for our pre- and post-placement visits.
