The three of us would like to welcome number 4. We just aren't sure where number 4 is right now.
Many of you know that our son was really hard to come by. We had a lot of help and prayers in the process. So we didn't expect things to be easy when we decided to have a second child.
After multiple attempts at our fertility specialists we found ourselves facing another miscarriage. We experienced the cloud of grief, the questioning, the frustration - all of it. When all of that passed things were different.
We are being called to do something different - to adopt domestically. To adopt openly - as open as the first mom needs it to be.
Our home study is now complete and we are working with a consultancy to help us through the process. We are working on our adoption profile and plan to apply to agencies in Texas, Florida, and Utah in search of our newest family member.
To fund our efforts we are taking a variety of methods. There's a yard sale, a fund raiser, gifts from family, grants, loans and crowdfunding. We hope that through all of these methods we will be able to produce the $45,000 that is required for this process.
Interested in joining in on the adventure? We'd love to have you come along with us!
When you give to this crowdfunding, you are giving money to Pure Charity who will hold the funds in a trust for us. We then apply for a grant for those funds, or they can send it directly to the agency we are working with.
It's a charity. It's tax deductible. You can sign up for recurring gifts, or if your company offers charitable matching you can do that.
It's a journey. Are you ready?
