Adoption…this had been something on my heart for a long time, but not as much Dean&'s. I realized adopting a child was not something I wanted to "talk him into," (plus I had my doubts and fears too)–I knew this had to be a decision made by God. I completely dropped the issue with Dean. For two years, I silently prayed, telling the Lord my desires (and fears), but also asking for His perfect will to be carried out in our lives. I knew that if God changed Dean&'s heart, I would have my answer. To be honest, I didn&'t think it would happen. Oh ye of little faith! In October 2012, Dean mentioned to me, that he had been listening to a story on the radio about a boy who had been in the foster system in Thailand. After hearing this heart-breaking story, he was angry, He thought "Why aren&'t people taking these kids in?" That&'s when God spoke clearly to his heart…"Why not you Dean?" From that point on he has been so excited and sure that this was what we were supposed to do! We know that the Lord has had her picked out for us since the beginning of time–that she was born to be our daughter! Now we just need to get her home!
