We have some exciting news to share! We are starting our adoption journey. After much discussing and weighing of options, we have decided to grow our family through the route of private adoption.
We have created a strict budget to help prepare for this big financial decision, for private adoption can range from any between 35,000-80,000 dollars. With this being said, we have started a crowd-funding campaign to help us reach a goal of $2,500 to help us with some initial fees.
We want nothing more than to open our home to a child in need, knowing that we will love them unconditionally and put their needs above our own. We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community that we want to build around this child as they grow.

We have some exciting news. We have found an adoption lawyer that we are going to work with. She has graciously allowed us to submit a profile about our family to her office. Our profile will be kept on hand, and should an expectant mother show up wanting to find a family for her child, our family profile will be available for that mother to review. It is less common for an adoption to happen this way, but it does happen, and this will allow us to bypass paying an agency 20-30,00 dollars to advertise our family. The lawyer recommended that we move forward with the home study process, so we are able to accept a placement should an opportunity arise. The company we are using for our home study is estimating around 2,500-3,000 dollars. We have already submitted 500 dollars of that total in order to cover the application fee. We would greatly appreciate any amount that can be donated to help us get our home approved to accept placement. Thank you all.
We have decided to go with Conner Adoption Home Study Services to complete our home study. We have been provided with a detailed list of what we need to do. First, we will need to cover the $500 application fee and complete initial paperwork. Once that has been completed, our home visit will be scheduled, and then we will complete more paper work consisting of medical forms, biographies, financials, government documents, etc. The entire process can take 3-4 months, and the total cost, including the $500 application fee, is $1800. Once we have completed our home study, we will be able to apply for grants and start working with an adoption agency.
