We first met on July 4th, 2004 at a church gathering. After dating for a year, we got engaged and our first conversation was how many kids we would like to have. At that point, our desire was for three biological and one adopted. As the years went by, and four kids later, we decided our family still wasn’t complete. With an amazing marriage built on Jesus, four awesome kids, a network of friends and committed family, we felt God calling us to open our home to a child in need. We are now deeply committed to bringing our child/children home. Our hearts are tender and filled with compassion. Our minds are sharp as we read and research on how to be the best parents we can be. Our arms are open, and we know that God has equipped us to love this child or children with all we’ve been given. We feel called to follow Jesus and He said; “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.” (James 1:27).
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $30,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
