is adopting a child from China

Years ago, I read a quote from Albert Einstein that said "If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales." and for some reason that idea resonated with me. I knew I needed to be a mom with a little one that I could read fairy tales to…and finally, after years of wondering what my destiny was I found my answer.

I am adopting a child from China!

She is beautiful, smart and strong. It just so happens, she also has one more chromosome than the rest of us, my little lady has Down Syndrome.

This beautiful child has been living in an orphanage with over 100 other children for the last 3 years. Too many of the children with needs like my child never leave the orphanages and will never get to experience being part of a family. My hope, by inviting you in this process, is you will see yourself as part of her family. A family I hope to build around my daughter as we watch her grow and beat the odds that are currently stacked against her.

As part of my adoption process I started a crowdfunding campaign to help with the cost of adoption. The adoption process can easily add up to $35,000 or more! This is why I have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that can be extremely overwhelming.

Let's show my little girl how much we love her and raise the money needed to get her home and in my arms!
