Future Dads here! We are incredibly excited and ready for this journey in our lives. We’re the only siblings in each of our families without children and being surrounded by our nieces and nephews solidifies to us that this is our next chapter. We’ve been heavily in the process of paperwork, home study and educational classes. Our profile is about to go live and then fate/destiny takes over. Due to the style of adoption agency we picked, we can be notified on day one when our profile goes live, or all the way to 24 months. We can also be chosen numerous times due to expectant mothers changing their minds or worst case scenario having a miscarriage. We will have to pay for each mothers care even if we don’t end up with a baby. We are not able to have a baby shower or plan anything in a timely manner, so most of our attention has been on gathering the supplies needed because we can be notified anytime. Our adoption was $35,000.00 and $18,200 is non-refundable. Our monthly payments are $624 for the next fifty-five months. It is a scary experience and a huge financial risk to go through. We’re not asking for help with the whole amount but anything helps. We’re extremely happy to be chosen by the agency and this is our life dream, to be fathers.
