Our Adoption: We are pursuing an open adoption with the hope that we can create a lasting bond with our child's birth mother and provide our sweet baby with a loving home. Adoption isn't all sunshine and flowers…it is the result of heartache, emotional and physical decisions, and uncertainty. Austin and I are not only sensitive to the life of the child, but also to the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of his/her birth mother. Our hope is that she finds encouragement in placing her child in our home where he/she will be unconditionally loved and birth mom will have the opportunity to establish a relationship as well. Birth mom's decision is so full of grace, faith, and trust…and we feel that deeply. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future." This sweet child will come into the world fully loved and will always know the story of love and sacrifice that took place when he/she was welcomed into this world.
Timeline: We know you're all wondering…when? It could be anywhere from a few weeks to two years for us to be chosen by a birth mother. Our homestudy is complete which makes us officially open to be chosen. So we will leave you with this verse so you can meet us where we are: “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31
But you already have three growing boys…how can you afford an adoption?: We asked ourselves the same thing. But in our short lives, we have known God to be faithful when we say "yes" to him and that is where we find our peace. That being said…we know the work that has to be put into funding our adoption and we have already begun to apply for grants, matching programs, and have started researching fundraising options (Updates coming soon). This journey is long, but if you'd like to join us on it by prayerfully contributing to help us finance this adoption, we would be incredibly grateful. We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. You can donate one of three ways:

We have not published our financial goal for our adoption due to privacy concerns. But we are happy to speak personally to friends and family who wish to know the final goal and how much we have earned so far. We would love to keep you up to date if we receive any grants or scholarships. Thank you for taking this journey with us. We hope that you see God glorified in every step of this journey.
