We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $45,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of 25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
We are live with our agency! It has been a whirl wind of a month and after more paperwork and training, we are now LIVE. Being a LIVE family means that our profile book will be shown to birth mothers, which is such an exciting time. We are filled with joy and hope, but in this time also comes the wait. The wait is the hardest part, not knowing when. I feel like Blake and I have been in this season of waiting for quite some time now. Knowing we are so close to welcoming the precious baby that GOD has planned for us. Please continue to pray for us because our journey is truly just beginning. Pray for the sweet mamma out there that will be making the brave choice of picking us to parent her baby. It is not lost on us, what a true gift and blessing adoption is.

After years, moves, and many prayers we have officially took a step in the right direction and our Home Study Approved!
A home study is a screening and review of our home and life, it is required to adopt. Now that we have this we can apply to adopt to agencies and other cases that our LPC sends our way.
