We&'re Ben and Kelty Davis, along with our children Hannah and Logan, and we&'re adopting a baby girl from China. There are over 900,000 children in China living in orphanages or foster homes, many with special needs, who will probably never be adopted in their home country. We have heard God&'s calling to embrace one of these little ones as our daughter. We&'ll be honest - it&'s not easy being on the receiving end of financial support, but we humbly admit that coming up with $30,000 over a course of about nine months is impossible to swing alone. This adoption fund gives our family and friends the opportunity to be a part of giving a child a forever family and a brighter furture. We believe that God uses adoption to spread the word about the 147 million orphans in the world and He is in the business of rallying us together for the future and hope of one. Total costs for adoption from China are roughly $30,000. That consists of: * $3,200 for home study fees * $9,000 for our placing agency * $5,600 for the orphanage donation * $12,000 for travel and in-country expenses * and more than $1,800 for misc paperwork It&'s true - adoption is expensive. But every life is invaluable to our Father and "He sets the lonely in families." (Ps. 68:6) Thank you so much for being a part of our story. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting our adoption. We are humbled and so thankful.
