Mary DeBoest

is adopting a child from United States of America

We have BIG news!

WE ARE ADOPTING! And we are SO excited!

Where do we begin? Andrew and I are not very good at reaching out and posting about our personal life but we feel that since our life will be changing, it is best to get all the love and prayers we can at this point.

To put in bluntly, the last four and a half years have been hard. That is really an understatement for us. Everyone has their struggles in life and I know people dealing with a lot worse, but for us, this has been our battle and our cross to bear. Infertility initially took away some of our greatest joys and brought some of the most dark and difficult times. We would not wish it on our worst enemy. We have unfortunately been through 9 failed fertility treatments and tried all of those "healthy/natural" routes everyone has suggested. Through those times, we have had the joy and sorrow of losing 3 angel babies and those moments will never be lost on us. These moments are with us every single day but between those difficult moments, we have found our joy and strength within each other and could not be MORE grateful that it has brought us to adoption.

We can not wait to be parents one day and although we do not know how long this process will take since it is ultimately out of our control, we are SO ready for it. We know our moment is coming and it is going to be one for the record books. We have not yet been matched with a birth mother but if you could keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we go on this journey, we would be forever grateful. We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home.

Now this is the hardest part of us, asking for help. Adoption unfortunately comes with a big price tag and we are learning we can not do this on our own. We have put a lot of financial time and energy into this process already and would be so appreciative of any support, big or small, you can provide.

As part of our adoption process, we have started this crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. We chose this platform because donations are used SOLELY for adoption related expenses.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of our journey and the family and friends we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. We plan to write each of your names on a special project to show our future child the love and support that was given to him/her through their adoption story.

We understand that this is a difficult time in the world and that this may not be something you are able to do at this point in time. We ask that you just keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we move forward with this process. Additionally, although we are on a waitlist through an agency, if you have any connections or know anyone with connections for a potential private match, please let us know. Networking and word of mouth increases our chance at finding a match. Thank you for taking the time to read our story, we are so fortunate to have such wonderful family and friends that surround us!

With love,

Andrew and Mary DeBoest
