Josh Dell

To start at our adoption story, we need to start at the beginning of us. We met as teenagers in youth group. We lost touch after Josh started attending a different church. We reconnected around 18 years later, and we married shortly after that. After 2+ years of marriage, we are beyond confident that this was the plan God had laid out for our lives, and we wouldn&’t have it any other way. We talked about adoption before we even got married. Laura can&’t have kids biologically, and because of her experiences with adoption (her mom was adopted, and she has known several close friends who have adopted), she had always been excited about the idea of adoption. Josh had already decided he wanted children, and he had enough love that he didn&’t care whether they were related by blood or not - he just wanted a family. So when we talked about it, the decision was simple. We know that God has called us to adopt. Ellie was placed with us on August 27th, and we are so excited to have a beautiful daughter! She is happy and has the cutest smile. She loves to stick her tongue out and to have her legs bicycled. She was born on May 9th and is already growing too quickly!
