Hey, we're adopting!
We’ve long felt that adoption would be part of our family story, but it was mostly a “maybe someday.”
Our decision to adopt our first child has stemmed from many long conversations as husband and wife. Conversations about family. About parenthood. And specifically, about motherhood. Ultimately, we feel that mothers and fathers are defined by more than pregnancy and biological connections. This is what led us to the decision that adoption was no longer just “maybe, someday” but “definitely, as soon as possible!”
We are extremely excited and very much looking forward to becoming parents. Part of our preparations include starting this crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily range from $35,000-$50,000. This is why we have set a goal of $35,000 to make this dream more achievable.
