is adopting a child from United States of America

We have BIG news!

We are in the adoption process!

Life is full of surprises, and in our ten years of marriage, we have been through a lot. However, our biggest surprise began about two years into our marriage, when we decided that it was time to start trying to expand our family. A couple years had passed by, and we finally discovered that there were some fertility issues. Soon after, we left to live life in Kuwait. While living in Kuwait, we decided to try IVF treatments which ultimately were unsuccessful. Our fifth and final year in Kuwait, we had a miscarriage. Even though it was very difficult, we knew God was still good, and He gave us more peace than we had ever felt before. In fact, well before that time, we were already fully committed to proceeding with adoption. When we moved back to the states last year preparing to adopt, we thought we had a match, but unfortunately, it was yet another let down. Our relationship is stronger because of what we have gone through, and we continue to be very excited to grow our family through this tough, yet beautiful process of adoption.

We are now doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. We've paid all of our fees but the placement fee. Ours will be sizable, so to prepare for placement, we have been applying for grants and financial aid, along with cutting back where we can. Although it's never easy to ask for help, we are reaching out in hopes to ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. Our goal is to have our placement funds ready by November, so that we can be prepared for a placement when it happens.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. Even if you don't feel that you can give, we hope that you will pray for us throughout our journey. Let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!
