Our Story

How it Started
In 2018 we felt called to take the plunge into foster care. We were at a place in life where we weren’t ready to have kids of our own but realized that we could make a difference in the lives of kids in our community.

We initially took in two amazing brothers, and over the past three-and-a-half years we’ve been blessed to take in their two younger sisters.

Why We’re Fundraising
Generally, adoption through foster care is free, and in October 2021 we were told by everyone involved in the case we were weeks away from adoption. However, our case took an unprecedented turn when the state appeals court overturn the ruling terminating the right of the kids biological parents due to a potential relative placement.

After a few months of confusion and an unfortunate change in the direction of our case, we were able to hire a lawyer who is now advocating on behalf of us for the kids.

How Much Do You Need?
Currently we’re blessed with some support to help us meet current expenses. However, we are expecting costs to continue to grow over the coming months.

Our initial plan is to offer this site as an opportunity for individuals who have asked and are able to give an avenue to contribute to our legal fees.
