We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to bring home baby boy this coming February. For those of you who are unfamiliar with our story, we were matched with a birth mom this past October and are expecting to be the parents to a baby boy in February! We started our adoption journey back in 2016 and became parents to our daughter Moriah in February 2018. We are so grateful for adoption and for the way the Lord is growing our family. We have felt the desire to continue to grow our family through adoption and began the second process this year.
While we expected to be on the waiting list for the next year or so, the Lord has been moving quickly and through the connection of a dear friend, we have been matched! We can't wait to meet our son in just a couple of months! Our birth mom's story is amazing, and hers to share, but what I will share is that she prayed for a family for this baby boy, and a little over a week later, received a letter from us sharing our story and desire to adopt. God has answered both of our prayers with each other and we have been walking through this pregnancy together over the past 7 weeks. We are all grateful to be a part of this bigger story the Lord is writing.
As we are progressing towards heading out to California, we have decided to start a crowdfunding campaign to help ease the financial burden of adoption costs. As of right now, we are looking at a total of over $35,000 total for this adoption. We have worked hard at saving over the last year and a half and have set a goal of raising $6,000 to help us with the costs.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our children as they grow up. We are so grateful for those of you who have already been walking alongside us over these past three years and hope you know how much we love you!
