We are adopting a child!
As some of you might know, we met each other later in life. We both agree that the wait was well worth it to end up with the kind of bond and love that we now have. Although we wouldn’t change a thing, we have struggled to conceive on our own. We have also attempted IVF, but had no success in doing so. Father time is not working in our favor for conception which leads us here. We’ve always been open to adoption, even before we both met, so this is where life has led us. We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
