We are delighted to share our adoption journey with you! Thank you for being in our lives, for loving us, encouraging us, and supporting us over the years.
Adoption is something we've talked about since very early in our marriage. As we’ve carved out more of our family mission over the last several years, we've continued to feel called to open our home to a child who needs one. Our hope is to share the love God has for us and that we have for each other, with this child.
We believe that redemption and light can come from even the darkest places. Jesus taught that the ‘upside down kingdom’ is about fighting to give the loudest voice to those who have the fewest means. It’s about giving those who are in a hard place an opportunity for a way out that ensures all those involved are given life and dignity.
Adoption is, unfortunately, a very expensive endeavor. On average, domestic adoption costs around $30,000. We have been saving every bit we can over the last two years in preparation for this, but as a public health worker and artist, we still have quite a ways to go. If you are able to give, we would be so honored and humbled to have you help us reach our goal. And even if you can't give, please know that you are already a huge part of our future child's life by being our friend!
