We are adopting!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
Hey friends & family!
First of all, thank you for coming here to support us and read about our adoption. This is our third adoption and with it comes a different path. We have recently met our one year anniversary since we were approved for this domestic adoption. We are currently waiting to be chosen by a birth family. That means, paperwork is completed, updated and our profile book ( a picture book about our family) is ready to be shown at any time necessary.
Agape of Central Alabama (our agency) does an incredible job of taking care both birth families & adoptive families. However, the child and birth family are priority. This is a top reason why we love Agape and trust them with this sensitive process.
Late last year, we were chosen by a birth mom. We were able to meet her and be apart of her last 6 weeks of pregnancy. When her sweet baby boy was born, she decided to parent. With that came celebration and a weird sense of mourning. Agape was there for us and saw us through that time. They also have continued to support mom and her family. This is the ministry we love and support.
While we continue to wait and prepare, we have had so many meaningful fundraisers along the way! We would like to be fully funded by the end of 2022. That would mean raising $7,000. With a faithful community, family and friends, we are confident that we can meet this goal! We hope you can be apart!
