We are adopting!
Five years ago, we were diagnosed with infertility. Within weeks of that diagnosis, God started making it abundantly clear that we were being called to adopt. Infertility isn't the reason we want to adopt, but infertility did open our hearts to the beauty of adoption and for that we are forever grateful. We knew we would adopt at some point along our family-building journey and we feel very strongly that the time is now.
We are thrilled and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home, but we need your help. Private adoption is expensive. When we started this process, we were surprised (in the best way) that a large percentage of funds goes towards living and medical expenses for the birth mother, including both physical and mental care long after the baby arrives. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $50,000 or more. It's really important to us to work with agencies who value pouring Christ's love into this woman who is choosing life for her child.
We have started this campaign to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
