Hello friends and family! We are overjoyed to announce that we are adopting! We have prayed about adoption for years. We have felt strongly that the Lord has called us to adopt, but to be completely honest, we were intimidated by the process and the financial cost. This past summer we began praying specifically for the Lord to point us in the right direction. Many of you know bits and pieces of our story. We have wanted to have children for the past seven years. These last seven years have been hard. We have endured three early miscarriages and the preterm loss of our son. Through our heartache, the Lord has used this time to strengthen our faith and our love for each other. We didn't know how the Lord would bring children into our lives, but we knew in our hearts that he would. We knew the end of the story, and we knew that God would be glorified. We had planned on beginning the adoption process at the beginning of 2017. Little did we know that the Lord had a different plan. (Doesn't he always??) In early October we met a wonderful couple who ministers to couples wanting to adopt. A week later, we were connected with a home study agency here in Georgia and an adoption agency in Arizona. Shortly after, we were matched with a birth mom who is expecting a baby girl in early April. We are overjoyed that this precious woman has selected us to parent her baby girl. We will forever be thankful for her sacrifice and we will do everything we can to live out the gospel as we journey through the adoption process and into parenthood. We are in complete amazement at what the Lord is doing in our lives, and we are so thankful for the hope we have in him. He is so very faithful and now more than ever, we understand the beauty of his sovereignty. We want to thank you in advance for joining us on this journey.
