Josh Eimers

is adopting a child from India

***Update****

…….and we're off!!

We are so excited to finally be traveling to pick up our son! We'll be flying out February 24th and picking him up on the 27th. From that point on we'll be hitting the ground running with appointments.. If all goes as planned we'll be flying out of Delhi on March 6th and our boy will be HOME with his family on the 7th!

As we are running around getting all of the final paperwork in order in preparation for this big trip, we are also doing a puzzle fundraiser to help with the final costs of our journey. This is a 250 piece puzzle that is a picture of our son. We are asking that those who would like to participate "purchase" a piece of this puzzle for $10 each. You are welcome to purchase as many pieces as you would like, and for each piece of the puzzle you purchase we will write your family's name on the back of the puzzle piece. Your purchase will literally be a piece helping us bring our boy home! Link to purchase puzzle pieces below (All purchases/gifts are tax deductible):

Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout this journey. We truly could not have gotten here without you.

God is good…..all the time!

***Update 10/11/18***

We have received "NOC." for our child from the government agency that oversees adoptions for India. This now sends us to the local court system in our son's state, Maharashtra. Throughout this phase our son's orphanage will represent him and us in court. The judge will review our case and hopefully give us written orders to proceed with the adoption. We are getting CLOSE! This has been a very long and tiring process, but we are so thankful for all of the support we have received along the way!

*****UPDATE*****

We have been matched with an absolutely beautiful 20 month old boy in Western India. We are actively working on getting all of the original paperwork finalized and sent back to India. We are getting closer to our boy coming HOME! We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to those who have felt called to contribute toward our son's redemptive costs. Your generosity is making such a big impact on his journey home. Thank you for investing in our son's future!

God bless,

Josh and Britt

John 14:18

It takes a village – How many times have you heard that said in your lifetime? Probably more than you can count. We all know it "takes a village" to raise children. You rely on your family, or maybe your friends who you consider family, to help you get through your best days and your worst days as a parent. I've personally needed my "people" for advice, reassurance and anything else you can possibly think of.. But this time is a little different - this time, we're going to need a MUCH bigger village to help us out with something that's so much bigger than we are.
We have spent a lot of years talking about adoption here in the Eimers household, always throwing the possibility far into the future because that was the safer option. But when it came up again in conversation at the very beginning of 2017 it felt different, and this time, we didn't run from it. So, here we are today, working diligently to bring our sweet boy home from India.
If you're wondering "why India?" …don't worry, when we felt God nudge us in that direction, we did too. The thing is, India has the highest estimated orphans and children in need in the entire world - about 31 million. Of India’s nearly 400 million children under 18, over 70 million are child laborers, 10 million are bonded laborers (a form of slavery to pay off family debts), 13 million are homeless and over 2 million are street children without families. It's easier not to know these statistics, but once you do, how do you ignore it? We couldn't… and now we're doing whatever we can to bring just one of the 31 million home. I know there are so many wonderful causes you could put your time and money into out there, but would you just consider being part of our story, joining our "village" and helping us to bring our little guy home? Every penny raised goes towards one of the many adoption fees coming our way.

We know that without God's grace and love, along with the compassion of our friends, we wouldn't be able to bring one more orphan to their forever family.
