We have some crazy, amazing, BIG news!!!
We have recently heard from Clara's birthmother that she is expecting again! While this is so exciting for our family, it is also TOTALLY unexpected and very soon! Needless to say, we are in no way financially prepared to begin another adoption process again BUT we are trusting God, the giver of all life!
Many of you already know our journey to adoption. After several years of infertility, we were blessed with the birth of our son, Clarke. He was a beautiful red-headed chunky little man. In utero, he was diagnosed with a very serious and rare heart defect. At birth, it was discovered to be worse than expected and we began the process of getting him on the heart transplant list. After 7 days of wonderful but short life, our son went home to everlasting healing. Every moment of every day we will miss him but from his short life we knew for certain that somehow we wanted to be parents again.
So in the summer of 2018, we began our first journey to adoption. Everything felt like it moved at lightening speed. By November, we were matched with a birthmother and a month later on December 22nd we had our baby girl in our arms! The best Christmas gift ever!!! Clara has been such a joy in our lives and every day we love her more and more! So the idea of a sibling is more than we could have even dreamed about. God is so gracious!
