Kiera and Eli have been married for coming up on 10 years. While dating, Kiera always told Eli she wanted to be a mother and it was her life’s calling. Eli, coming from a big family with siblings that are best friends, always wanted children. After about a year and a half of marriage, they decided to try for a child. They were young but eager to start a family. A year went by without any success and they thought they were just going to take a bit longer than the average to get pregnant and start a family. Another year went by; they decided to seek fertility help. After all the fertility testing, the specialist didn’t find anything of concern and gave Kiera some medication to help stimulate ovulation. The doctors said they’d be pregnant right away, but that also didn’t work. Several years went by again with fertility help and treatments without success. After 6 years of trying, Eli and Kiera started considering other avenues to start a family. Adoption came into the picture. However, with life changes and moving, they decided to wait on adoption and would re-visit once settled in Florida. It has now been 8 years of infertility and 2 of waiting for a chance to adopt. After looking into adoption, they knew it would be expensive. They shortly found out that it was prohibitively expensive. This is when Eli and Kiera decided to reach out to family and friends for help in starting their family.
